Sacraments

BAPTISM:

We celebrate Baptism by Immersion within Sunday Eucharist. Most people who witness this form of Baptism are deeply moved by its powerful symbolism, and the fact that the Newly Baptized is welcomed into the family of Christian believers.  It is the privilege of the Assembly of Initiated Believers to Initiate and Welcome New Members.  Every Celebration of Baptism is a graced opportunity for the entire community to allow God’s Spirit to renew the grace of Baptism in us as a Priestly People in Christ.

We appreciate that Baptism is the Sacrament that makes all the difference in the world.  We also are committed to the maximal Sacramental ritual and celebration given us in our Church's rich, beautiful and meaningful tradition.

Please contact Cathy Smith in the Christian Faith Formation Office to arrange for parent Baptism preparation and sacrament scheduling.

MARRIAGE:

Marriage is a sacred commitment. The Church enhances the dignity of marriage by making the Christian relationship a Sacrament. Your marriage ceremony should express this religious identity and the faith you share.  Preparation for the celebration of this Sacrament involves personal reflection, discussion between yourselves and consultation with those involved in the ceremony. To ensure that your wedding will be a prayerful and joyful celebration, we wish to be of assistance to you in every way possible. We at Saint Luke are happy to have you seal your love covenant within our parish community.

Arrangements should be made with Father Augustine at least 6 months prior to the wedding date. Saturday wedding schedule: 1:00 PM

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

Adults and children over the age of seven who desire to be fully initiated members of the Catholic faith community are invited to journey through the RCIA process.
